Tea Cup Exchange

Good Afternoon,

Back in February I joined the Tea Cup Exchange organised by Stephanie a

It's a  lovely thing you provide details and you send someone anywhere in the world a Tea Cup and some other nice goodies and someone send some to you.

I now have 2 new friends, Julia from USA, which I sent a pretty Tea Cup and some goodies too.  I received a lovely package from Roberta from Le Sportina in Italy, here are some pictures of my goodies. Thank you do muchxx

I have also posted a picture of my pretty ThankYou card from Julia.

Just want to thank Stephanie who organised this and I can't wait to join again later in the year.

Thanks and take care

Mother's Day weekend!

Good Afternoon All,

Well I had a nice weekend, Saturday we pop into town to get a Mothers Day present for me, a new charm for my bracelet, and then we went to lunch, I prefer that, then going out Mother's Day as it's always so busy.

On the way back hubbie took us for a drive, which is one of the plus points of living the countryside. We find this lovely little road, with a pretty church...
It was a shame it wasn't open...

But we wondered around the back and the views where so camera skills don't do them justice.

Opposite the Church was the Old Rectory, I thought the building was so pretty! and Regal looking.

I managed to do some crochet in the afternoon, here is the outcome...

Easter preparation already in progress, pickle wanted to to some crafting on Mother's Day, so we Decopatch these eggs..

Hope you have a nice week!xx
Thanks so much for your comments on my previous post and well wishes..
Thanks again for visiting!

Tuesday Thoughts!

Good Afternoon,

Well I had the worst week last!... My hubbie cut his head open on Wednesday morning, at which pickle went into total meltdown bless her..she cried more than when she cut her own head open many years back!so off to A&E he went, now all glue back together.
I was back and fourth to the hospital for tests, which have come back clear (good news) but still awaiting for answers...
Went out for birthday meal Friday, was nightmare no starters arrived just mains course.. and than got food poisoning on Saturday and to top it off, hubbie got a new tyre on the car Saturday and Sunday morning it was flat as a pancake!

So all in all not a great week, and your thinking this is not an inspiration blog.....

Good news was pickle being picked to Sing and play Guitar at the school spring concert (huge smile on my face as typing), so that's my inspiration, she is really enjoying this hobbie, here she is practising.

I am starting my first granny square blanket, using Stylecraft special DK, in blues, teal and all having a fresh white edge.
Here is my first of 49 squares

Such a spring day are some tete-a-tete on my desk.

(had to put the by window to get a nice picture)

I am really hoping this week will be better, hope you all have a nice week.
Thanks for stopping by.

Tuesday Thoughts!

Good Morning,

Well it started wet this morning but now the spring sunshine is out, which is nice, I have to say I don't like starting the day on a wet school run.

So I though I would share some makes with you today, some I made alittle while ago.

Here is a top I finished making the other day, I am happy with it, the fabric is crepe and was alittle fiddly to work with, but it was my first attempt at bias binding and that went better than expected.

I made knitted this sometime ago for pickle it's called Worrier Wendy, and this week pickle took in for show and tell...bless

Here is the bunting I posted about in my last blog-------it's still waiting the binding to pull it all together which I plan to buy later today, just trying to decide on the colour hmmmmmmmmmm, and whenever I go into my local fabric/yarn shop it's fatal, I never ended coming out with the one thing I went in for...I am sure I am not alone on this???

I dream of having a craft room, however I now have a craft corner, which is home to Sally the singer sewing machine and my modern machine and soon some storage bits, I love this room in the house as it bright and has views over the downs.
Here is sally...

Hope you have a nice Tuesday, thanks as always for stopping by and I really enjoy reading your lovely comments.

Hello March!

Good Afternoon,

I love March, you get a feel that Spring is coming (which means now I have said that it will snow next week!).

But I do love this month, maybe because it's my birthday and Mother day this month, which I really look forward too,  and also pickle loves to celebrate other people birthday's as much as her own, (even when she doesn't understand that Adults don't always look forward to it in the same way) bless!

So didn't do much this weekend, as still feeling under the weather...

I did however enjoy some sewing on Saturday, I am in the process of making some bunting for pickles bedroom, picture to follow soon..this was using my lovely vintage singer machine yay.

We finished our Spring wreath... what do you think??

Sorry the light in my lounge is not the greatest!

I am still going with my crochet block scarf which is a mixture of Stylecraft DK yarns.

On a trip to Morrisons on Saturday we picked up some pretty potted baby daffidils and primroses which are making the kitchen window look bright.

And of course there was baking... just some vanilla and lemon cupcakes with spring flowers on the top.

Hope the sun keeps shining, have a good week, and thanks for stopping by.
