Post Holiday!

Hello All,

I have been on holiday for the past couple of weeks, hence no blogging or comments...

We had the best family time in the Canaries.... Swimming, relaxing, exploring, eating and drinking...

The weather was lovely 30oc everyday and blue sky, pickle really enjoyed herself, she got me to do the high rope course, which I have to say scared the life out of me and a large glass of wine was needed afterwards.

I will be back in the blogging zone soon, and hopefully looking forward to sharing the summer with you all and making and baking some new things.

Here are a couple pictures from my holiday...

Couple of the pools..

Lovely sandy beach.

Will catch up again soon.

Pretty bags Thank you Cath Kidston!

Good Afternoon,

So I have been after a Cath Kidston bag for sometime now, and when me and pickle went to Brighton at Easter and visited her shop I wanted to buy everything!

But I managed to get this beauty online, I am one happy girlie...

The little pocket purse/pouch next to it, is my latest sewing goodie, I got the Cath Kidston Sew book sometime ago and have been meaning to start, so last night I managed to complete this in about 2 hours.
The fabric was all pre-cut and came with the book.

This is what it's like inside...

My Bias Binding want abit off, but I am pleased with it, the zip was easy.

So on completing this I now want to make the Travel Pouches, I have some pretty fabric left in the stash so I am going t try to get it done tonight!

Hope you like my pictures, Do you like Cath Kidston?? I am waiting my next purchase, hmmmm

Thanks for stopping by.

Monday Makes!!

God Morning,

Sorry I have been abit absent lately, so much going on, Year end at work and pickles birthday.

Today Hubbie and I have been married 14 years!, time has flown by, here is a picture of us on our wedding day, in Barbados.

This is when I was younger, slimmer and have less grey hairs!
So the weather at the weekend was a mix bag, really it's officially the first day of Summer, so where is it??????
Saturday we popped into Eastbourne, had a look around the shops and then went for lunch which was nice.
Yesterday I managed to finish some of my ongoing projects, as it rained for best part of the day.

Here is the sarong/shawl I have been crocheting for a couple of months.

I am really happy with it, and the colour is perfect for summer.

Pickle and me made this tote bag, it was one of my Sew a Secret projects that comes from The owl and Sewing Cat.

Pickle sewed the main part of the bag herself using the sewing machine for the first time.

It seems she has the bug now, as we designed this skirt, the hearts where all cut out by her, she also choose the pretty lilac and white fabric but I put it together.
I wish I had put a trim along the bottom...hmmm maybe I will try to later.

And finally, on trend I managed to make another pair of undies...this time by
I found this pattern and instructions very easy to follow.
Well I will be taking abit of a break for a week or so.

Thanks for stopping by as always
