Good Afternoon All,
It's Friday! Yay I am so pleased it's nearly the weekend. They are saying it will be wet and windy tomorrow as another storm is on it way to us.
Hubbie has plans to start painting the lounge, we have plans to update the house this year, and although I will be happy when it's done, I don't enjoy the thought of all the preparing before hand.
Anyway, this weeks Five on Friday is something different, I usually post about home life i.e making, baking etc but I thought I would share with you some of the places we have travelled. I used to work in travel many moons ago so was able to do longhaul travel at a good price and this was before pickle.
So here are my favourite five places we have been...
One.
Barbados, we got married there, it will be 15 years this year, time flies, anyway we got married in a beautiful old sugar mill.
Two.
New York, we was very lucky to go here twice, once before 9/11 and once after, love this city, it's like walking around a film set all the time. Here is the view from the ground under the Empire State Building!
Three.
We travelled all the way to this next place for just 6 nights, It's Penang, Malaysia is such a beautiful country and some of the nicest people I have ever met, This is the temple we visit. Also some of the best food I have ever eaten.
Four.
New Oreleans, will it was such a experience, it's the only place I know that when you walk into a bar at midday it's jumping like 11.30pm at night!, we did alot of walking here and was lucky to go on this original paddleteamer!
Five.
Last but no means least -- The Maldives, we even got to go on one of them Seaplane things, this place is so naturally amazing, the fish and marine life is so good, here is the island we stayed on.
And this was our room, the shower was outdoors and in the evening you shared with fruit bats flying over head.
Well I hope you enjoyed my global travel today, and thanks again for stopping by and leaving lovely comments.
Have a nice weekend!

The Life366 Project - Week 5
Good Afternoon,
Well another week has gone by, I can't believe we are in February, however I do like it that we are edging closer to Spring.
I am joining Lola and Lane with a weeks worth of photos.
Thursday 28th January
Couldn't help but order more wool, this is pickles choice, it's 4ply hand dyed from Norah George.
Friday 29th January,
We love Friday's in our house, it's always an easy dinner and relax as the weekend is here!
These are some Daffadils again!
Saturday 30th January
It was a lovely sunny day in Sussex, and my cheeky Mittens was enjoying on the table!
Sunday 31st January
It was a wet start to the day..
So a day of sewing commenced..my happy place.
Monday 1st February
Back to work and school etc, So grey and boring I couldn't even see the South Downs
Tuesday 2nd February
After doing the day to day things, it was time for sock knitting.
Wednesday 3rd February
Getting some Valentines sewing finished, made some hearts as I can't find the ones I made last year (not happy about that)
So that's my week, not to bad, looks of making in between everyday chores.

Tuesday's Happy thoughts
Good Afternoon,
Well today is better weather than yesterday..Here it was grey, I couldn't even see the South Downs!
And these are my sunlit Daffadils on my work desk today, such happy flowers they make me smile each time I look at them.
So for me at the moment it's all about sock knitting I have been bitten by the bug, it all started when I came across Christine at Winwick Mum blog, she is such an inspiration. So it started with knitting pickle some buddy elf socks back before christmas they turn out ok but abit short due to time constraints! The yarn is from Norah George and it's hand dyed, I just love her yarn, she has a shop on Etsy.
Now I did post on my first finished sock for me and here is the second one on the needles (Very horrible needles as the wire keeps coming out and had to superglue it back in after losing 3 rows of knitting!) Have since ordered new needles!
And on short circular needles some for pickle, the yarn on both is Sidar Heart and Sole.
I managed to get some sewing in on Sunday, I love my sewing machine, hubbie brought it for Christmas 2014.
I have ordered a Tilly and Button Skirt pattern, which I am hoping the postman will deliver soon, as I have been saving some yummy Liberty fabric for it since last summer.
Here was my Sunday happy place and the little house I sewed, along with the birds for the Spring wreath (see previous post).
And my blanket is still coming along this my view from the sofa into my little basket of yarn, all Stylecraft Special DK.
Well that's it for today, keep well lovely people.

PS I need to find where I have put these Valentines Hearts I made last year hmmmmmmmmmm

Five on Friday
Good Morning,
I do hope everyone is well!, So here we are the end of January already, it's wet and windy here in the UK again today.
I usually don't like January but this year I have tried to embrace it more, and enjoy it for what it is, another month of the year!
So I am joining Amy at Love Made my home and sharing my Five on Friday, it's abit of a mixture this week.
I seem to have far too many WIP on the go, I have 2 pairs of socks, Spice of Life blanket, Balaclava, a summer dress to sew and a spring wreath to finish! I really need an extra 5 hours in my day just for these lovely things.
Anyway off we go...
One.
As it's been a very wet winter here, I treated myself to some Welliebobs from Joules, I really love them and they have fluffy warm lining, perfect as I don't drive so walk alot on Schools runs and to and from work.
Two.
Here is one of my WIP the balaclava for my step dad's birthday.
Three.
Here are my Daffadils in my office. They cheer me up on grey days.
Four.
The postman delivered this lovely package of wool on Thursday, so excited it's lovely hand dyed wool Hawaii on the right and Jerusalem on the left both by Norah George, she sent it with Teabags, stitch maker and kinder bar - Happy Happy!
Five.
This is my sweet little pickle playing with her Lego Friends shopping mall and shopkins, I love the imagination children have. She means the world to me and her dad.
Well I have shared by Five with you, I hope you like them.
Thanks so much for all the lovely comments I have had over the last couple of weeks, it means so much.
Have a nice weekend
