I finished my second Spice of Life blanket, which I am so pleased with, I have started another blanket so we will have one each, however this time I have picked Cupcake Pattern.

We had a lovely holiday in Fuerteventura, which is very relaxing place, lots of fun family time together!

Summer Holidays was great, the weather in Sussex was really good this year, we managed days out to Eastbourne, Brighton and locally to the Park and Beach.  Photos here are me, pickle and hubbie enjoying lunches out!

Five on Friday

Good Afternoon,

Well it's Friday again, I just don't know where the weeks are going, I have my ultrasound scan date for next Wednesday so hopefully will know more than, still getting the pain, but I am enjoying the more spring like weather.

Last weekend was so lovely, enjoyed getting out in the garden and tidying, cutting the lawn, it's beginning to look like a garden again! rather than the amazon.

So I am joining Amy at Love made my home, with this weeks Five on Friday.

One,

As I say the garden is coming into bloom, here a photo of my Magnolia tree (pink) the white one is another house on my street, but the smell is amazing as you walk past it.

Two.

Mittens being a pickle this morning!

Three.

Over Easter we decided to decopatch some wooden spoons, and they look pretty in my making bowl, we did one each.

Four.

Ok, So I am some what addicted to yarn buying, here is my newest order from the lovely Norah George, it's Harry Potter theme, the Purple is Hermione and Orange and Brown is Ron Weasley, so more sock knitting is on the plan, oh well if I must!

Five.

This was my morning, a nice cup of tea, pretty fresh Daffadils and my little Valentine Bunny, from Little Box of Crochet.

I have enjoyed sometime off over half term, the weather hasn't been too bad, abit cold at times, I will leave you with a photo of my lovely pickle enjoying a day in the woods with friends...

Have a nice weekend!

Five on Friday

Good Afternoon,

I know 2 posts in one day, but I have been AWOL for a bit, I have shared with you before my ongoing health issues i.e my Diverticular Disease but I am currently having Gallbladder issues and looking at having it removed, but onwards we go.

I am feeling slightly better then I did as they have given me medication for my DD, which is good.

Anyway on with the show!.  Here are my Five on Friday, which is run by the lovely Amy at Love made my home.

One.

On Good Friday we went to Lewes for the day, it was a lovely sunny spring day, and it's a place that you can just wander around in and out shops and looking at the old buildings, here is a view between some buildings out towards the South Downs.

Two.

Here is a couple of Easter pictures, Simnel Cake and Roast Lamb, what better food to eat at Easter time.

Three.

I ordered these pretty Harry Potter theme stitch markers from Thimble and Thread, on Etsy.
Four.

Hubbie and Pickle went shopping last Saturday and came back with this wool stash for me as a Easter present.

Five.

Here is my latest finished crochet project, it will be a present for someone special, it's from Little Box of Crochet, and called the Princess and the Pea Collar.

Well I hope to be back to regular blogging again soon, as it's half term time is not something I have much of.

I hope you have a nice weekend and enjoy some spring like weather!

Five on Friday

Good Afternoon,

It's Friday and I am looking forward to the weekend doing some Easter decorating with eggs and bunnies etc, also it's my friend who passed away daughter's birthday and we are going to Brighton for the day shopping and lunch, which will seem strange but we will get there.

I am hoping to be doing some of this............sock knitting and relaxing!

Well it's time for Five on Friday again joining Amy at Love made my home. so here are some pictures from me that I have taken this week,

One.

As I personally don't drive, I spend alot of time walking everywhere, so I really enjoy it when I see lovely floral displays like these popping up this time of year!

Two.

As it was book week the other week, Pickle got a new book and so did I, it's by the same Author who wrote, Secrets of the Singer Girls, I really loved that book and this one is so good, with the same people in it, set in the East End during the war.   As you can see I am also fond of a magazine or two...

Three.

I though the sunlight in the picture was great, it was from earlier in the week, when the sun was out and I couldn't help but feel like spring is nearly here.

Four.

Last night I really fancied apple crumble, this will probably last one now until Autumn but it was comforting after a long day.

Five.

I managed to get the time to boil a couple of eggs the other day ready for pickle to paint, This is the result, we have never done painted eggs before.

Well that's me done for this week, I really hope you all have a nice weekend and catch up with you soon.

Five on Friday

Good Afternoon,

Well here we are again it's Friday - YAY!, I am looking forward to a nice homemade curry tonight with all the extras yummy.

I am joining Amy at Love made my home, for my Five on Friday.  I love this post as it's such fun sharing with everyone info about me and my part of the world.

It's been a cold week here, frosty most mornings...and I am finally getting over my chest infection, I cannot wait for warmer weather, I like winter but my body does not!

My number 1 - is of the weather this week - this is my sad looking garden, I can't wait for it to look full of colour again.

Number Two

I have been working on new cushion covers for the lounge something with spring colours, here is one done.

I love sewing, I just don't seem to get enough time to do more, I have cut out another lot of squares ready to sew for the next one.

Number Three

I am already thinking of spring and Easter, take a look at these cupcakes I baked for pickle this week. I on't know about you but I love Mini Eggs...

Number Four

Have been watching the latest Mary Berry TV programme and decided to make this Cranberry and Coconut Bar, it's very sweet (think I added too much golden syrup) and it's a cross between flapjacks and Rice Crisp cake.

Number Five
Well it will soon be time for my fabric hearts to go away for another year :(

But it will be time for the bunny's to come out and play!
I am sure Mittens will have great fun with the eggs again, I end up finding them everywhere!
Hope you enjoyed my Five on Friday, have a nice weekend
