Starting a blanket and outdoor crafts...

Good Afternoon,

Well here we are again on a Monday afternoon, it's such a different day today compared to Saturday and Sunday which seemed like summer was here to stay, Hmmm than I remember this is England!

So it was a weekend of Sun, Sun and more Sun, I was really wanting a relaxing weekend and that's what I had...

My IBS is still in full swing, hence the need to relax, as this does help.  So Saturday was nice just sitting in the garden, paddling pool filled and ready for pickle, swingball all set up and Mittens enjoying outside, Mittens has now discovered that she can get up the fence, however when she does she is not sure what to do next and jumps straight back down again!

We have lots of Butterflies in the garden at the moment, here is one on the pool

Pickle took this picture!

Mittens also thinks it's a good idea to try to eat Butterflies, Bumblebees, honey bees, and anything else that moves!
I decided I wanted to finish the Decopatch Dolphin we started about 3 months ago!, and we also started a pretty heart garland that pickle had got for a birthday present from a friend..

Dolphin to the right of photo.

After a lovely day in the garden, I thought I would start my first Crochet blanket, I am doing a row of Double Crochet and a row of Half Treble Crochet then change colour, here are the colours...
The light is not so good on this picture..Sorry

So Sunday I got up early and went for a run, which was really nice, only people around was Dog walkers and runners.
It was really hot when I got back home at 8.30am..so sit in the garden and had my coffee and cereal.
Again another day of games in the garden..swingball, croquet, target practise with Nerf gun and bowling.

It was such a lovely relaxing weekend, and hopefully more to come this summer.

Have a good week, Thanks for popping by!

Mother's Day weekend!

Good Afternoon All,

Well I had a nice weekend, Saturday we pop into town to get a Mothers Day present for me, a new charm for my bracelet, and then we went to lunch, I prefer that, then going out Mother's Day as it's always so busy.

On the way back hubbie took us for a drive, which is one of the plus points of living the countryside. We find this lovely little road, with a pretty church...
It was a shame it wasn't open...

But we wondered around the back and the views where so lovely...my camera skills don't do them justice.

Opposite the Church was the Old Rectory, I thought the building was so pretty! and Regal looking.

I managed to do some crochet in the afternoon, here is the outcome...

Easter preparation already in progress, pickle wanted to to some crafting on Mother's Day, so we Decopatch these eggs..

Hope you have a nice week!xx
Thanks so much for your comments on my previous post and well wishes..
Thanks again for visiting!

My First make of 2015!

Good Afternoon,

I would just like to say, a Big Thank You to everyone I have met on here, I really enjoy being part of the blogging community.

As we start the New Year, I am already thinking of the new projects I want to start and share with you all.  I think I would like to do a granny square/Crochet blanket in 2015, as I have seen so many beautiful blankets on here by other bloggers, just got to decide on what colour to do it in, to many choices.

I have already knitted my first thing of 2015, it's name is Olive the Owl, well it was this morning but pickle may of changed it by the time I get home from work.

Here is Olive...

On New Years day, due to the Christmas Cake not turning out as I would of liked, little pickle and me decided to make cupcakes...

We made Chocolate Peppermint, using up the last of the Candy canes for topping, and Champagne and Strawberry Cupcakes..

Here they are.. All Gluten Free.

On Saturday we want to Hobbycraft (one of my favourite shops) Little pickle wanted some card making supplies, and while we where there we found these...

By the end of Sunday, the cat looked like this

...I love Decopatch!

Hope you all have a good day

Thanks again for visiting!

Windy Autumn Thursday

Well I am sitting in bed knitting on this windy Thursday,as I am unwell at the moment:-(

Even though it's breezy the sun is shining so that's nice, and mittens is enjoying some indoor sun bathing!

I have been thinking about gifts to make for Christmas, I have started my mother in law crochet scarf

I hope she likes the colours I've picked..
In recent weeks I have gone a bit wool crazy and have brought some different yarns then normal, but am excited to get knitting with them.

And the heart in the middle was my recent decopatch creation, I didn't realise I had matched the wool to the heart, surprised myself!

Have a nice windy day
